622 Mass Shootings This Year in the U.S.

Desensitized? Maybe.

Every time I pushed this article aside more shootings occurred, and I started it the first week of January 2023.

Just the headline has automatically made me swipe away to the next article.

Every morning another news report. Wait… isn’t this the one from Colorado…no it’s the one from Walmart…what? No, it’s the one from Idaho…the 3 cute girls and the boy…no that was a knifing. It can’t be…that was about the guy driving into a bunch of sheriff recruits…no that was the Ulvade school crazy.

And so on…and so on…and so on.

Can’t keep up? Unfortunately, me either

Here is a partial list that will soon be old: https://www.nytimes.com/article/mass-shootings-2022.html

The frequency of mass shootings in the United States has become a significant concern for many Americans. The constant stream of news reports and the sheer number of incidents can make it difficult for individuals to keep track and fully process the impact of each event. This desensitization to the constant violence can make it harder for people to fully grasp the gravity of the situation and take action to address it.

The link provided in your text, refers to an article from the New York Times that gives a partial list of mass shootings that have occurred in the year 2022, and it’s a clear demonstration of how common and frequent these events have become in the United States.

It’s important to note that mass shootings are a complex issue with no single solution. It’s a multifaceted problem that requires a comprehensive approach, involving the participation of all levels of society, including individuals, communities, and government.

This problem is not something that can be solved overnight, it will take time and effort, but it’s crucial that we start taking steps towards finding a solution. We must continue to raise awareness about the issue, advocate for stricter gun laws, and support mental health initiatives to help prevent future mass shootings from happening.

I feel it is ripping the fabric of the American dream

Many people share the sentiment that the frequency of mass shootings in the United States is damaging the fabric of American society. The constant fear and trauma caused by these events can make it difficult for individuals to feel safe and secure in their communities. The American dream is built on the idea of safety and opportunity for all citizens, and the constant threat of gun violence undermines this fundamental principle.

Additionally, mass shootings can also have a negative impact on the economy, as businesses and tourist destinations can suffer from decreased foot traffic and lost revenue. It can also lead to a decrease in property values, and a sense of insecurity in the community.

Furthermore, the psychological impact on the survivors, witnesses and the families of the victims can be devastating and long-lasting. The trauma can lead to depression, anxiety, PTSD, and a host of other mental health issues.

It’s important to recognize that addressing this issue is not only about protecting the physical safety of citizens, but also about preserving the values and ideals that make America the great country it is.

Two of the companies that Grace Century has invested in is an on-line 24 hr mental health port and a security company. It includes a 24-hr Emergency and Primary care…and even a 24-hr Pet health.

Grace Century, investing in companies that focus on mental health and security is a commendable step towards addressing some of the issues that contribute to mass shootings and other forms of violence in society.

An online 24-hour mental health portal can provide individuals with easy access to professional help and support, which can be beneficial in preventing and addressing mental health issues that may lead to violent behaviour. In addition, it can also be a valuable resource for those who have been affected by violence, whether directly or indirectly, as they may require counselling or therapy to cope with the trauma.

A security company, on the other hand, can help to ensure the safety and protection of individuals and communities by providing security services such as surveillance, patrol, and risk assessment. It can also help to identify potential threats and provide training for individuals and organizations on how to respond in emergency situations.

Overall, companies that focus on mental health and security can play a crucial role in preventing and addressing the issues that contribute to mass shootings and other forms of violence. By investing in these types of companies, Grace Century is making a positive contribution to society and helping to preserve the safety and well-being of individuals and communities.

Where will this madness stop?

The frequency of mass shootings in the United States is a complex issue with no easy solution. It will take a multifaceted approach, involving the participation of all levels of society, including individuals, communities, and government to address it.

There are several steps that can be taken to reduce the number of mass shootings and the related deaths and injuries. These include:

-Implementing stricter gun control laws, such as universal background checks, and banning assault weapons.

-Providing more funding for research on the causes of mass shootings, as well as for interventions to prevent them.

-Investing in mental health care and providing more resources for individuals who may be at risk of committing acts of violence.

-Improving school safety by providing more funding for security measures and training teachers and staff on how to respond to emergency situations.

-Encouraging the community involvement and awareness, through education and training on how to recognize the signs of someone who may be at risk of committing an act of violence, and how to report it.

I think headlines like the recent 6-Year-old that shot the teacher has enough “shock and awe” to at least make people stop and question. At least, I hope!

It’s important to remember that this is a long-term process, and it will take time and effort to see a significant reduction in the number of mass shootings in the United States. But it is crucial that we start taking steps towards finding a solution. We must continue to raise awareness about the issue, advocate for stricter gun laws, and support mental health initiatives to help prevent future mass shootings from happening.

In short…”God help us” (We could use it)!
